My name
is Christopher Maggi, and I was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1961. Coming from an Italian heritage where family is coveted, I’m
proud to say that I am from a large family of 6 brothers and sisters. Early on we learned to appreciate
the value of hard work and persistence. As some of you may already know, life is often no bowl of cherries,
and you have to work for everything that you want. I emphasize this, only because I believe it is the fabric
that defines who I am as a person and a professional. Like many inner city kids, I went to both grammar
and high-school in a tough neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. In addition to my academic interests, I took pleasure
in playing varsity baseball and track. Baseball was my true passion, and evidently, I must have impressed
upon a few people as I was recognized and honored with the “2nd team All City” distinction in 1978
for both pitching and 3rd base.
Due to family financial responsibilities, my junior college experience
was brief during my early years. Being no stranger to challenge, I decided to point myself towards the
center of the business world, and headed directly for Wall Street. After a brief stint in the financial
Mecca, I traded in my oxfords in for a jackhammer. It is at this point in my life where I am proud to say
that I worked for Brooklyn Union Gas for 12 years, and made many of my life long friends to date, and even met my future wife.
Life has a way of throwing you a curveball every once in awhile, and this was my time. I made a
journey to another home that was foreign to me, Washington State. For personal reasons, I settled down
in a small town in the Evergreen state (ever raining to be more exact). Blue collar work was familiar to
me, so I continued my profession with Washington Natural Gas for 4 years during the early 90’s. This
period in my life allowed me to continue my education, and feed my need for academic challenge. Columbia
Basin College was the institution that I chose and received my diploma for a major in Biology. Entrepreneurial
spirit was always in my blood, and I took a stab at running my own business for a few years. The least
I can say is that it was a good experience, and I highly recommend everyone take the leap of faith.
2003 was the year that
I decided that it was time to follow my true passion, acting. During all of my development years, I took
great passion in demonstrating my willingness to perform for family and friends. Where better to develop
my true passion than back home again, in New York City. I hit the streets for months visiting one casting
agent after another. All casting parts were well received, and I took whatever I could find irregardless
of the substance or lack there of. As with most actors, I wanted to express and refine my talents beyond
my current position. Bigger rolls, and more lucrative offers began to present themselves as producers and
agents alike began to recognize my abilities to perform in specific typecast roles. Finally, I had my “Big
Break” working with the esteemed group of executives and actors on the Sopranos HBO series as the butcher.
This led to great stand-in roles and introductions with an “A-list” group of industry professionals.
My acting talents are extremely versatile, as I have had the pleasure of performing with and participating in:
- James Gandolfini-“Sopranos”
- Christopher McDonald -" Awake"
- Eva Mendez-Film ”Own the Night”
- David Letterman-“Sopranos skit and spoof”
- National Commericals- Ad Council (media management) and Investools (educational)

Today, I continue to work in both film and television with regional and national
influence. My family unit is my true love, as I have a wonderful wife and two handsome boys, Chris Jr.
and Jeno.
